Students should be familiar with approximately 250 high-frequency words by the end of PM Green.

PM Library: Blue books feature recurring characters, family events, and school situations. Students should be familiar with approximately 160 high-frequency words by the end of the Blue level.

The median length of text in PM Yellow level books is 127 words. New words are surrounded by a context of familiar sentence structures and familiar words. Students should know approximately 100 high-frequency words by the end of the Yellow level.

When students are able to recognize 25-30 high-frequency words they are ready for PM Library: Red books.
