The INTERFACE series has been built around developing flexible and inquiring frames of mind in young people. Through engaging selections and compelling and collaborative activities, students will develop “the habits of mind” that will equip them for active participation as individuals and citizens in the 21st century. INTERFACE will help students develop the skills of critical inquiry. Students will speak, listen, read, write, view, and present with the frame of mind of “knowledge builders” rather than primarily as recipients of the views of others. There are four volumes in the Interface series designed for Grades 9 and 10 primarily in Ontario but will also fit in other provinces. Teachers and students can choose the volumes that work best for them to suit the multiple levels of students in their classrooms.
