Innovative resources to develop skills in communicating effectively in French
Gradually transfer the responsibility for learning to the student.
Each of the six modules comprises four steps:
1) Interactive reading : Reading in a group (or from the audio support) accompanied by questions and targeted text comprehension strategies allows the student to begin a reflection.
2) Guided Reading: A text guides the student to practice the three targeted strategies. The ” Reflect on Your Learning” section allows students to revisit the theme and the reading strategies. An analysis of the characteristics of a studied text genre is followed by a writing exercise.
3) Cooperative or autonomous practice Other types of texts are offered to practice the strategies explored in the module.
4) Integration and reinvestment The ” At work!” section offers a task that combines writing, reading and oral communication to apply knowledge and enrich it.
