Nelson BC Socials 2 is aligned to the British Columbia Social Studies Curriculum and supports the development of curricular and core competencies. It helps students become active, engaged citizens who think and communicate critically, historically, and geographically. Students are encouraged to ask questions to discover content through Curricular and Core Competencies. Authentic First Peoples voices are included through a variety of sources and perspectives to support learning from the past and present. The resource encourages active learning through diverse sources and inquiry-based activities, and includes comprehensive teaching support for easy implementation.
