Social Science: An Introduction covers Anthropology, Psychology, and Sociology for both the University and College level Grade 11 student. This resource provides students with opportunities to think critically about theories, questions, and issues related to anthropology, psychology, and sociology, and develops students’ understanding of the approaches and research methods used by social scientists. It provides opportunities to explore theories from a variety of perspectives, to conduct social science research, and to become familiar with current thinking on a range of issues within the three disciplines. Skill development is reinforced through various research features and opportunities for in-depth analysis. The Teacher Resource includes two complete sets of lesson plans, University and College, along with strategies for combining both courses, detailed assessment and evaluation strategies, related rubrics and checklists, modifiable Blackline Masters, and an image bank of photos and illustrations from the student text.
