On Common Ground is a series of anthologies of outstanding reading material that has been carefully chosen to appeal to teenagers. The selections are from a wealth of sources, both traditional and contemporary, and display a wide range of genres, in both fiction and non-fiction. All of the literature features strong narrative lines that reflect the common interests and concerns of adolescents of diverse abilities, needs, and cultural backgrounds. A Teacher’s Resource provides stimulating activities for each of the selections; a bank of teaching/learning strategies; classroom management techniques; and clearly explained, practical appraoches to assessment and evaluation.
